This year, with the support of Xylem, we’re excited to introduce Fill it Forward at ACE, a new way for water heroes to reduce single‑use plastics while simultaneously supporting a great cause. With this program, every water bottle you refill and scan while at ACE unlocks a donation to Water Equation, AWWA’s philanthropic initiative advancing workforce development and creating real water sector impact.

Water Equation is committed to fulfilling the critical need to ensure that the water community has the necessary workforce to provide clean and safe water to communities worldwide. This includes educating, encouraging, and engaging the next generation of water professionals with scholarships and continuing education support, leadership development, and professional engagement opportunities through AWWA events and seminars.

How to Fill it Forward

Check our goal progress anytime by tapping “Fill it Forward”  in the ACE Events mobile app.

How It Works

  1. Pick up your bottle or custom sticker at ACE
  2. Refill at any hydration station throughout the conference
  3. Scan the QR code using your phone’s camera and unlock WE donations

Each time you refill and scan, you:

  • Reduce single‑use waste
  • Unlock $2 toward our $10,000 goal
  • Affect real‑time carbon and waste savings
  • Support Water Equation’s mission
  • Grow your personal sustainability impact

Every scan counts, and every attendee can help us reach full impact for Water Equation.
