Academics
Academic involvement at ACE is a crucial part of our mission at AWWA. We value the research, dedication, and spearheading of new ideas in the academic sector to further our goal for a better world through better water. We welcome all academics and researchers at ACE26.

Bring Your Knowledge to ACE
ACE features opportunities for academics of all levels to learn about new research and upcoming challenges and to attend presentations by peers and colleagues. Many of our sessions include an exploration of brand-new treatment processes, cutting-edge technologies, and a new understanding of ongoing research. ACE is the place to network with researchers, students, and graduate students within the sessions and during the Exhibit Hall Social Hour.
AWWA also values our student and young professional involvement through several tracks and events, such as the Fresh Ideas Poster Competition and our Students and Young Professionals Reception. We spotlight our international students with the International Student Program. We invite academics of all levels to attend these events to see the progress students and young professionals are making through mentorship and the effect it is having on the industry.
We provide lower rates for students and some academics which can be accessed through our member portal when you register for ACE.
“AWWA makes you feel improved. While most of us may think that the first impression of AWWA is on the technical side of the water industry, but I learned, through ACE24, that public education and more/adjusted regulations are more important. I am glad I learned about the Water 2050 Plan and the AI application in the water industry.”
“ACE24 is the first one I have attended. As a student, I am grateful and impressed by their interest in students and YPS relating to the industry. I am very grateful for the opportunity I had to meet wonderful people and be able to learn a lot in so few days. I will definitely attend again! Mexico present!”
