Getting to Denver
Denver International Airport (DEN), also known as DIA, serves as gateway to Colorado and the Rocky Mountain West. It is the closest major airport to ACE activities, with non-stop service from more than 150 cities in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Asia, and Mexico.
Amtrak – Denver Union Station — Maybe train travel is more your style? Amtrak’s California Zephyr runs between San Francisco and Chicago, with a central stop at Denver’s Union Station. Union Station is in the heart of downtown and a short walk or bus ride away from convention center and conference hotels.
Getting Around Denver
Denver’s light rail system offers convenient transportation throughout the city. At a cost of around $10 each way, travelers can use the RTD A Line light rail to get from the airport to downtown Denver, and vice versa. Ride share and shuttles are also available. High-Altitude Tips
The Colorado State Capitol Building is exactly 5,280 feet above sea level — one mile high. So in Denver’s rarified air, the sky is a little bluer, golf balls go 10% farther, and so do the cocktails. The Mile High City is also very dry, so it is a good idea to up your water intake, monitor both your physical activity and alcohol intake levels, pack for sun, and dress in layers.
