Moderators, Presenters, & Volunteers

Whether you are speaking at a conference, giving a poster presentation, or leading a workshop, it’s crucial to plan and prepare to ensure that your presentation is a success. For more info on planning your presentation, view our best practices Guide for Water Professionals for additional details and expectations.

Key Roles: All presenters, moderators, and event volunteers are selected through AWWA conference planning committees; please reach out to EducationServices@awwa.org if you are interested in contributing at an AWWA event.

Presenters

  • Please plan to attend at least one of our AWWA hosted Presenter Open House info sessions. Invitations will be shared in Spring 2025 after initial acceptance communications. 
  • All presenters are required to use the ACE PowerPoint template. This will be released in April 2025 and will contain prompts for appropriate flow, layout, colors, and font sizes.  
  • ACE presenters must upload their presentations to our central Presentation Management System. This will be released along side our PowerPoint Template in April. 
  • Poster presenters are responsible for designing, printing, and transporting their poster to conference. Template examples can be provided upon request; there is no requirement to upload these in advance.

Moderators

  • Please attend a Moderator Training and the Presenter Open House info session; these will be hosted by AWWA in the spring to share essential event details and answer any pending questions.  
  • Before the conference, please plan to connect with your session presenters. Contact info all presenters will be available via ‘Moderator Report’ in your speaker Portal. Here you can also review your session info and upload your headshot by noted deadline.
